Over charged cancelation fees

I am a very disappointed customer.

I asked for a quote for cancellation in February 2024, and the quote the lady gave me was as follows:

Please see the cancellation fee valid until 20/02/2024. Debit Order # of Installments Remaining: 15 Monthly Installment: R398.00 Cancellation Fee: R1,492.50 Arrears: R0.00 Final Due R1,492.50

I asked again in April what the cancellation fee would be as I wanted to cancel my contract, as I never use it. However, the fee had doubled, which does not make any sense to me.

I have never used my membership.

I want this to be canceled, and I am not going to pay double. How pathetic can a company be to double the amount to cancel a contract?

I am very upset.
