Okay gym. Dishonest accounting and non-existent customer service to boot.

Over the years I have dealt with and reviewed a bunch of crummy businesses on this site but Zone Fitness take the cake. My wife opened a two-year membership with them for us both in September 2019 and after two years of dutifully paying our monthly dues (even during lockdown) we decided we won't be renewing our contract with them and as per their membership agreement we gave them the requisite two months written notice of our intentions and that's when the shenanigans began. A lady (and I use the term loosely here) by the name of Sacha Classen with the social skills of a wolverine whose role is listed on her email as "Debt Collector" starts hassling my wife claiming it was too late to cancel and that from September onwards there would be four months remaining. My wife asked her to explain how so that a two year contract starting in September 2019 could extend to December 2021 but all she got was a ***** Excel screenshot calculation that would put Enron accountants to shame. In exasperation we finally went to their branch at Capricorn Square on my insistence but were told by their front desk staff that "Sacha doesn't meet with customers". Imagine that? Although, in our case technically that would be ex-customers. I think Sacha and the folks who run Zone Fitness might have missed their true calling. Might I suggest the loan shark business instead?
