Misleading information

I joined about 3 months ago , but before I agreed to became a member I precisely asked what do I have to do if I need to cancel my account (because I wasn't sure on whether I was going to switch accomodations to a different area) , and the guy told me that to cancel my contract , all I have is inform him , then he would just need to move my account to someone else, now comes 3 months later , now his telling me that the contract says I have to pay a cancellation fee , I was prepared to pay for 10% of the remaining months which was about R 400 but when I went there they told me that there is a whole mother reverse fee on discount I received that I have to pay , which equated to about R1200 , now I don't know where I just going to pull out that money from , and the worst part is that I never used the gym , but paid for 2 months , Now you telling me that my debt is going to continue increasing even though I currently don't have the money to end my contract. I feel like I have been ****med , and I repeat I never ever gymed .
