Management unwilling to seal with bullying on premises ( Tokai , Cape Town )

So Monday the 22nd went to Tokai gym late afternoon to get a good workout. So going through the various exercises, had to wait for bar and weights at the Squat area. There was two youngsters busy so thought might as well continue with the other exercises till they finish. Then this guy with white peak just arrived at gym and next thing saw him busy with them with in between sets. A while later saw machine or weights section there empty and proceed to go about my exercise . Busy with my second set and all of a sudden this character makes his appearance. Asked me am I busy and politely told still in progress. After my response he stood literally a second and then went to remove the weight on the one side . I asked him what he was doing and said he thought that he could squat while I was resting which I reply that you never asked and you acting as if I am taking forever. He backed off but stayed in the vicinity. Then I went about my business and all of a sudden this individual came standing on top of me and kept asking how far I was with my reps. I tried to remain calm as after all he was previously by the area and no one disrupted him , so as a courtesy would wxpect he would do the same. I became very angry and there was a thought of taking matters in my own hands that would end horribly wrong for him due to previously professional boxer and even tapped into some mix martial arts but thought not worth it. I then went to move on and went to the showers to cool down and decided to report his behaviour to management. After explaining it twice to staff eventually got to see manager on duty and explain to him that this is bullying and not to take lightly. As clearly this individual will keep doing this unless this is addressed. I was told it is a very delicate situation . I failed to understand what was so delicate as the individual was still in the area and busy and the whole thing was the gym was not that full. I expressed my anger as this clearly a matter of impolite and unbecoming conduct. I was advise they would discuss this matter and will provide me with feedback.

I was highly displeased with their way of handling this matter as clearly as if they are actually protecting this individual and I am sure that he will continue to go on with this manner as notice he knows some of the staff.

I even took this up with the sales lady that open the contract which quoted that she will going to the ends for her customers ( yeah right) followed up with her and kept being told that the manager is very busy and will come back to me ( 5 days and still nothing) *********** if you ask me. Bullying is a very serious matter and should not be condoned in any way , I wonder what he told those youngsters.

Is Zone really interested in any of their customers well being on site or do they want problems to be swept under the carpet. Nothing is for free and you pay for the use of their facility, not for harassment or bullying.

This is not the end and for their sake I hope they wake up and do something about as I will take this matter further and not allow bullying in any form or place
