Issue with Zone Fitness membership

<p>Hi</p> <p> </p> <p>I joined Zone Fitness last year November. I lost my job in December, I visited the St Georges Cape Town branch to let them know and to freeze the membership. They told me to come back with a letter from the previous employer stating I'm no longer employed under them, I couldn't get the letter because I did not leave the company on good terms(family/personal matters). </p> <p> </p> <p>I recently made a call to the branch, first person I spoke to told me the matter has been taken to attorneys. I couldn't understand how that could have happen, so I decided to call them again. I then spoke with a different person which gave me an amount that I owe which is R1423. I decided to visit the branch to make payment arrangements to be able to freeze the account since I'm not working. I was told that they couldn't freeze the account because I'm in arrears and they don't make payment arrangements of which I don't understand because I am not working and I would not like the amount to go up.</p> <p> </p> <p>Is there anyone else who went through the same situation? Could you please advise on what I could do to cancel the account/membership.</p>
