Gym membership forced upon a member

<p>Hi , isigned up with zone fitness in January 2015 because the price of r165 was affordable for me at the time . After going to the gym for a few weeks I realized that the gym was a bit too far for me to travel to and it became too costly . I called the gym to try cancel the contract but they told me that is not possible unless I pay a 60% fee of the remaining months on the contract , which was about over r2000 . I believe this is ********* and unfair to put such clauses in a gym contract . What do you lose if I cancel my contract ? It's not a phone or something which I bought and can't return ? This is **************** to consumers and I would never ever recommend this below par gym to anybody . </p> <p> </p>
