Do not join this 2 bit Gym especially the Durbanville branch

<p>I have been a member at Zone Fitness Durbanville since May 2016. On several occasions, other patrons have not been using the circuit area correctly, as they come there to do sets.</p> <p><br />On at least 2 of the occasions, I tried to handle correctly by going to the front desk to ask assistance in directing the patrons correctly, both times, I was told I can ask the patrons nicley too, I do not have to ask the front desk always. I argued that the patrons get cheeky, and that they should do it, but on both occasions, I was left tp sort to out myself. On both of these first 2 occasions, by the time I got back the offenders had left the area.<br /><br />2 weeks back, I nicley approached a patron, who then tried acting dumb, but keeping patience, I explained how the circut works nicely to him, pointing out the green timing lights, and the sign showing the circuit rules. He rep**** "I'll do what I want" (A fris chris non white). Yes I do have a short temper, but I had spoken to the desk on 2 occasions, as I know myself, and yes I did try talking nicely first. A screaming match ensued, and the staff came and directed him corretly. He went tp the correct area.<br /><br />Yesterday 21 Nov 2016, The same happened again with another person, who tried to firstly lie that he was following the circuit, even though he was doing it backwards. I pointed out that I had seen him do a set of 3 on the previous equipmentin reverse order line. His firend then purposely goes from eqipment half way around the circuit, taht he was busy on, to the equipment that was next for me... looking to make a scene, when I finished the current exercise. I spoke to him too, and he got cheeky. I escalated, and he picked up a piece of gym equipment (gym wheel), so I pulled my knife to defend myself. Once the operational manager (non white) got involved, she screams at me about pulling a knife (the guilty patrons were non white too). When I pointed out the equipment, he still had in his hand, she played it down as "What is wrong with gym equipment in his hand" Duh? If one follows me around with it, when I go to the front desk, what is he just about to exercise with it? I then let her have a verbal assault and she told me she will cancel my membership, because of my language (I was livid by now, as here I am keeping the rules, and I am getting ganged up on)<br /><br />I then went to the sales manager, as I previously have had a good relationship with him, who told me he supports her, and told me I must not come back when I leave today, taking my son and my, access cards away. He cited that this is the scond time I have got loud and agressive... HELLO!!! I asked YOU, THE CLUB to sort the matter out on previous occasions, and the club told me to handle it myself. I told them people get cheeky, and pointed out my temper to one employee on one of theses occassion, yet they tell me to sort it out myself???<br /><br />So they pass the buck, after being warned, and when it escalates, they cancel my contract, when I was using the circuit correctly, and the offending patron, lifted a smal but heavy piece of gym equipment, when argiung with me, rsulting in me exercising my right to defend with equal capacity.<br /><br />I will go as far as to put this down to pure ******, the way the operational manager took the side of the offender, blatantly ignoring the weapon, still in his hand by the time she arrived.<br /><br />A real 2 bit filthy gym, whith change rooms that permanently stink. I would not reccomend joining, especially if you are white, as the wave of ******, being levied at us, thanks to big mouth Malema, has spread into Zone Fitness Durbanville in my opnion!</p>
