I signed up for a zone fitness membership with Mark at RCS Goodwood in November last year.

Mark did not have any cards when I went to sign up with him he said he only had 10 cards for the first 10 customers.

He claimed that he will bring the card when he is coming the following week but he will write down the card number on the forms when he gets to work.

A week after that I did a follow up with him as when he will bring the card and he said sometime that week so I told him I would like to cancel my membership as the branches he mentioned are far from me and he agrees. That was still in the first free month when I canceled, After that, it had a debit order that went through my account I sent him a text on WhatsApp and he said I can reverse the debit order as he has filled in the forms for me and he will bring them at RCS and he never did. The following month I never got any call or debit order that went off my account as I was still waiting on Mark,

I left RCS and thought everything was sorted but it was not sorted and I only found out now when I signed up at St Georges Mall.

I would like this sorted out as soon as possible as I want to continue with the gym, Please let, me know the way forward as soon as possible so that I can continue with my journey. Based on my understanding and how I see things Mark wanted to get his commission as he waited for my debit order to go through because he could have made an effort to sent through an email to the cancellations department to cancel my membership instead of ignoring me.

I have called so many times and they kept on promising to sort it out but they never did and one of the admin stuff told me the nonsense that I need to pay the account then it will be cleared, How do I pay for an account I never used and the card I never received and now they tell me that Mark is no longer working for them he has left the company... I want this sorted out or I will take it to ombudsman and my lawyers as well
