Disappointing Service

I have a contract with gym fitness which debits R185 on my account each month on the first. I kept paying until the first of July 2017 ,unfortunately there after I was unable to pay as things were becoming tight for me. On the 21st of August a debt collector called me about my outstanding amount and I explained to her about my unemployment .she then told me about a grace period of up to three months where my account would be frozen .and I would continue to pay in January 2018.I was just meant to send her proof of me not working .please note this is on the 21st of August 2017 that we spoke.She then tells me the account will be frozen as long as I pay before the 1st of September.On the 28th of August I sent her all my documents showing I am still unemployed and she responded saying only once I have paid she will send my documents to Admin so the very next day I paid and she said thank you she received payment.on the 13 th of September I receive an SMS that my gym account is in arrears.so I email the debt collector and she tells me that she told me to pay before the 20th of August in order for my account to be frozen.She only spoke to me on the 21st and she never told me any of this .even after sending her proof of unemployment she failed to mention this ,even after I had paid she failed to mention that I need to have paid before the 20th.i was not given any help .even the people who worked at Admin never bothered to return my emails.now my account is still been debited .please help me
