Demanded to pay R1,301.00

My name is Cheryl Mabaso, I stay in Cape Town in Wynberg . I join Zone fitness in March with the hope that as they were opening a new branch taking over where virgin red was and I couldn't go with them because it was out on my way I mean far. When I signed with Zone Fitness was on a presentation where by one of their agents was promoting Superclub I asked her can I take even if I will be using Wynberg facilities and she said yes I can use any Zone fitness facility all over.

I join with R100.00, deductions were to start end 01 April. when deductions start it was lockdown I couldn't go to gym. They deducted, I had to reverse and the bank allowed me to do so. On the 24th August they send me a message to tell the doors are open I went there in September hoping to cancel because my husband lost the job I am the only one with a job and to pay for the rent and everything. To my surprise I was told I am owing 2 months that I need to pay, I asked for what ? the gym was not open and I never use their facilities I only remember I went to town and I pass by the Zone fitness in town and I decided to get inside and look around. During lockdown I ask Yolisa the lady who signed me " what will happen now will they cancel and start a new contract and she said they will inform me but I never receive any message, again I asked her is when she told me she was retrenched ( LIFO) that was the end. 13.10.2020 I got a message to remind me I had to pay urgent. I responded on their email address on the sms. The lady by the name of Sheena responded that there was an option to do cancellation within 5 days of which I never receive that message and she can see I have signed in the time of uncer*****y however membership was processed and the cancellation fee is due for R540.00 + arrears R761.00, but really is that true??????? taking advantage of the uncer*****y to gain from me on my vulnerable situation whereby I was assisted by Legalwise to apply for a small unit to rent as I couldn't afford to pay full rent and I will not be as my husband has no job. I have proof of statement of what I am owing for rent behind, during lockdown I had to apply for holiday relief on most of my accounts and policies.

I did not use your facilities R14,809.04 behind my rent I need to pay I have proof you can call my landlord Communicare on *** ***, they can also call Legalwise to make sure they assisted me to get a small unit.

I really need help I cannot be able to pay.
