Charging me for gym fees even though i had cancelled my membership

Cancelled my membership in April, only to find out this month that i now have arreards for +R500 for a contract that was suppose to be cancelled. Even indicated to them that they i am willing to rejoin as long as they remove these arrears but they refused. Will be taking them to the consumer tribunal and the consumer ombud for sure.
