BAD SERVICE

To whom it may concern

About four years ago I took a a zone fitness contract, I signed up in Promenade Mall, Mitchells Plain. In total I could have made two or three monthly payments on this account, the reason being when I went to gym in Promenade they advised me that I could not access the gym as my membership was taken out in Kloof Street, Cape Town. I explained that I signed a contract in Promenade for the Promenade branch. They allowed me to go in the one and and said I needed to sort out the matter with Kloof Street and get them to transfer my contract.

I called and spoke to lady in accounts who advised she would take care of it, when I approached gym for a second time I was denied access again. I called and spoke to the accounts department I explained my distress and asked them to cancel the contract as this is an error on their end not mine. She advised that she would take care of it and my contract would be cancelled.

This year I wanted to apply for gym I called in and they said I have a contract, I again called Kloof Street this time they advised that my account had been handed over. I explained my situation and they had no answer for me but gave me the contact details of Norman Bissett and said to speak to them make an arrangement and then I would be able to sign a contract with the gym. I called the gave me the bellow mentioned total of R5272.68 I got a shock as according to my knowledge this account has been cancelled more than three years ago, they advised that I need to pay that amount and then the full balance of a new contract. I have explained this as I feel that it's unfair that I need to pay the mentioned amount when I have not made use of this service, and that the error was made on Zone Fitness part not mine.

I need urgent assistance as I'm getting calls emails and smses regarding this account all of which is adding up. I don't feel I am liable for this amount!

Kind Regards
Melishia
***
