Zestlife cover does not deliver on their marketing promises

I have been a Zestlife member for over 15 years. During January 2026 I was admitted to hospital which resulted in an urgent surgical procedure on 30.01.2026. Since then I have been struggling with Zestlife with no success. It seems as if they make the claim procedure as difficult as possible with confusing requests for information which kept on changing after the first submission. When I asked them about this I was referred to the small print in the forms! It is now more than a month later and the only feedback I got this week is that they are liaising with the medical aid to check that the claim was processed correctly. This is not the protection and peace of mind I pay for monthly so I will be looking at options to escalate this as needed. I am truly disappointed in this company. JBarry

Dear Riana,

We note your concern.  For certain prescribed minimum procedures (PMB), we do have to liaise with the medical aid as they have an additional process where one can request that they review the claim to ensure that they have assessed it as a PMB. Unfortunately, this does take extra time.  I can assure you that if there are valid shortfalls left, that Zestlife will pay these shortfalls.

We will see if we can fast track your claim and will provide you with feedback directly.

Best regards
