Will not pay hospital co payment
Hi
Let me say that I'm not impressed by the cover and lack of explanation that I have undergone.
I had to be admited into hospital today only to find out that the gap cover I'm paying does not cover my hospital admission co payment.
Can someone tell me what I have been paying for the last 11 months with not a single claim.
This is completely unacceptable and I will be sure to cancel my cover once I'm out of hospital.
When I took this cover the consultant explained to me that everything will be covered , this is the main reason why I took the cover.
I had to pay in R12000 and now I'm told I will not be refunded.
I will cancelling this useless policy for sure once I'm out of hospital.

You app**** directly for the GAP cover and selected the Match cover option. This option does not cover co-payments and the benefits offered by this option is clearly listed in all the marketing material. The Benefit Summary comparing Match Cover to the Universal Option clearly states that the Match Cover option does not cover co-payments.
The premiums you paid were for the Match cover benefits you selected.
