Escalation is a BS delaying tactic

In the past I have been super impressed with the service of Zestlife and how quickly claims are dealt with, even at the start of Covid and people coming to terms with the new way of working. BUT, I can honestly say that the difference between November 2020 and April 2021 is DRAMATIC AND NOT FOR THE BETTER! Claim was originally submitted on 26 April, the assessor overlooked some of the documentation which I re-submitted on the same day as their request for "outstanding" documentation on 30 April, now we are almost mid-June and we get no response other than the claim has been "escalated" and there are "systems issues" ! To make matters worse, if you contact them to enquire as to the status of said unpaid claim as per their email "Only follow up on the status of your claim after two weeks if you have received no further communication from us after this letter.", Zestlife take this as a reason for a further extension. Rest assured, after this less than satisfactory performance, should it not be resolved within the next 2 weeks - given that this will be seen as a further extension - I will be looking at an alternate GAP Cover provider with competent staff and putting a stop to your debit order before the next payment goes off my account.

Dear Ursula,

I am sorry to hear that you have not been receiving the level of service that you are used to and this seems to be an isolated exception as our service levels are the same as in November 20.   There is no reason for us to try and get 'extension' on a claim as our aim is to pay claims as fast as possible.
I will arrange for the status of your claim to be investigated and we will provide you with feedback shortly.

Kind regards
Noleen
