Disabled cover
I took out a zestlife policy about 10years ago when i bought my first car. After paying off my car I no longer needed the life policy so I wanted to cancel. They then told me if your car debt is finished the policy automatically moves into a life insurance policy. I then underwent a big injury where i lost the function of my right arm. My financial advisor submitted a claim and they rejected me. Their reasoning was that by losing my right arm function I am not disabled enough to receive the lumpsum cover amount.
I am really disappointed with this company. I mean you pay them for 10 years without any mis payment to cover you and when you submit a claim they tell you that you do not qualify as you are not disabled enough. I would highly advise people using zestlife to review their policy and move.
Worst excuse of a company I have ever heard.
We will investigate your query but please not that life insurance policies clearly define what is consider being disabled. We assess our claims according to the terms and conditions of the policy to ensure that we pay valid claims.
