Denied Critical illness & disability cover because of weight

I was contacted for a Assetlife Policy, was told about the benefits, death, disability, critical illness, retrenchment. After personal details was captured. the next day i was told my installment was decreased and that i have death benefit only. When i asked why the consultant said they can only give me death cover. So for me based on my weight and Height i was denied the other benefits. As i disclosed i have ashma, controlled no chronic medication in over 4 years. I was asked if i had a family member who had Diabetes i said yes.

I feel that this could have been handled better, they could have explained why the benefits was denied, but seems my weight and height alone made the decision for them , which i believe is very discriminating.

Im not sure i want this policy after all....
