Absolutely Horrible Service

I am applying to stay at one of the apartment blocks at Zahavi Estates. I have had the most horrible experience.

I was meant to move in on the 1st November. I went on their website after my boyfriend recommended these apartments that he saw on Facebook. Filled out their online forms on the 18th of October and later on that day a lady called Jackie Manguba responded to my e-mail telling me about the specials they have and prices but I needed more information. With some excitement I responded saying "Would you be able to send me pictures of the apartments at Diamond Place? Could you also send me what your requirements are from a parson who would like to rent your apartments ie: Credit records, salary information " she never responded that day. The following week I get another e-mail from her exactly the same as the first one (not responding to my questions I had).

I call Jackie and tell her that I have less than 10 days left of the month of October and I am looking for a place to stay for the 1st of November and I tell her it seems like she does not care and that me trying to find a place to stay is not her concern, she tells me that I am not the only person applying to stay there. I got upset and asked my boyfriend to enquire, maybe he will get a differenct person to assist him.

On the 26th of October we go to the building to meet up with Jackie and Charles to view the place, Jackie was rude and abrupt, she rushed us through the whole viewing process because she had to rush somewhere. I could not even pick a unit I was most interested in.

Later that day we met Charles, he seemed more helpful at the time and he told us what to submit to apply for a place. My boyfriend and I got our things together and we gave them to charles on the 5th of November and he said we would get a response by end of day Tuesday the 8th of November. On Monday the 7th of November Charles calls me saying we have not included our ID copies in the application, he gave me his e-mail and I responded with both our ID so the application could be processed.

I phone Charles on Tuesday 8th because it was almost the end of the day and I had not received any response from Zahavi about my application. He tells me their internet is down and I will get a response later on that day or today before 10 am. His tone towards me was appaling and he was shouting at me. I told him that we need to put our notice in at the flat we are currenly staying in, that is why I was in such a state of urgency. He fobbed me off and told me I should just wait for today before 10am because I am not the only applicant.

Today I call at 10:59 asking him about the status of my application, he tells me that it has not been done and I should call him at 11:30. I tell him that I want to speak to a manager because I have had about enough of the wild goose chases, he told me he has no manager and that he is the manager. He later calls to tell me my work number in not going through, so I gave him an alternative number, I ask for the manager's number and he says he will text me.

He texts me a "managers" number, I call that number immediately. I speak to someone called Connie, she was the receptionist, she told me I could not speak to a manager because she takes the complaints, I told her I would like to speak to one. Connie tells me to hold as she can now see the manager, doesn't bother to put me on hold and I hear the, manager say "I am not going to take that call, tell them to send a mail". Connie comes back to tell me this. I demand to talk to the manager some more with no success. I tell Connie I am going to Hellopeter, Faceboo and any platform I can get my hands on to complain about them and she says in the coolest and most carefree tone "go ahead post on Facebook, I cannot stop you". I ask for the managers name and I was given the name Joyce Steyn.

In conclusion, this is not a place I would like to live at because the people here do not give a damn about their customers. I have read the other reviews about this place and I am not supprised, these people at ZAHAVI do not give a hoot about you as long as they get their money at the end of the month. I have a feeling if my boyfriend and I live here, we will be very miserable.

Dear HelloPeter user
Thank you for your review of the service you received from our sales team. We are saddened to hear of the poor experience that you had and the effect it has had on your perception of us as a company.
We note from your review that we should provide a list of required documents when applying and are currently updating our website to allow for applicants to upload their supporting documents on-line. Thank you for pointing out this short coming.

Again, we are sorry for the poor service that you experienced and hope that you will give us another chance in the future should you be in the market.
