Voucher expired but never received it in the first place
Bought a R1,000 voucher as a wedding gift in 2023, but it completely slipped my mind afterwards since I never received the confirmation email - checked inbox, spam, and trash, nothing. Only found out it still existed via a 2026 “your voucher has expired” notice.
Yuppiechef confirmed they have no delivery proof either, but can’t reinstate it due to their three-year policy.
If you’re buying a voucher as a gift, confirm the voucher email actually lands in your own or the recipients inbox - don’t assume it did just because payment went through.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that this experience has been disappointing.
We've looked into your concerns and can confirm that the gift voucher was purchased in May 2023 and successfully generated and sent to the email address provided on 5 May 2023.
While we can confirm the voucher was sent from our system to the email address provided on the order, similar to the one you received the reminder on, we don't have visibility of what happens once an email leaves our platform, so we're unable to verify whether it was filtered or rejected by the receiving mail server.
As previously advised, Yuppiechef gift vouchers are valid for three years in line with our Terms & Conditions and the Consumer Protection Act. Once a voucher has expired, we're unable to reinstate or extend it, and we apply this policy consistently for all customers.
We understand this isn't the outcome you were hoping for, and we're sorry we can't assist further in this instance.
