Shocking Dyson Support from product purchased via Yuppiechef

Purchased a Dyson vacuum cleaner, viewing it as a quality product, however have had repeated problems with the product. It has been sent in for repairs on two occasions, which was not expected from a "so called" quality brand. Whilst the service agent from Yuppiechef has tried to assist as much as possible, the service received from the Dyson service company has been worse than shocking. Repairs take months and now on the second repair (received by Yuppiechef on 12 March) they are even unable to give an ETA as to when the Unit will be repaired. Apparently it needs a new battery, however the Dyson Service company are unable to even confirm if they have ordered the replacement, let alone the ETA as when it will be delivered. Tried to get details of Dyson directly who manages servicing in South Africa, however they will not divulge such detail. Have asked Yuppiechef to replace the Unit as it quite clearly is not a reputable brand, however was told that it is under warranty so it has to be repaired. Current view is that I will discourage anyone who thinks of buying Dyson products in South Africa.
