Oops we fogot to tell you that we have stock take...

I only heard good things about the service of Yuppiechef as some of my friends buy from them very often. But my first time buying from Yuppiechef went from bad to worse. On Sunday (26 Feb 2017) I bought a birthday gift for my grandmother (Birthday 3 March). The gift I bought was advertised with a delivery time of 3-5 working days. Monday (27 Feb ) being day 1 and Friday (3 March) being day 5. Thus the order will still be in time for my grandmother's birthday. Monday morning I emailed Yuppiechef to confirm the delivery date. After a lot of emails the lady assisting me said that she looked at the website and saw that the delivery was 3-5 working days. After this email I received an email that said the gift has been sent to the courier and is on its way. Today (3 March) I have not received my parcel and contacted Customer Care. I spoke to a nice lady that said the parcel will be late due to a stock take on Monday and Tuesday. This was never communicated to me even after numerous email enquiring about the delivery date and making sure that the gift will be in time for my Grandmother's birthday party. The nice lady from customer service offer me a gift voucher until I received my parcel next week and at least then I will not arrive empty handed at the party. This was the only time there was some form of customer service...

Poor poor poor service!!! It seems as if customer service is not important. I would like to know why this was not communicated even after I emailed and stressed how important the timely delivery is.

Really dissapointed in the service I received. Even more dissapointed that I will arrive without a gift.
