Gift Registry experience ******

The service received was absolutely abysmal, empty apologies with no real action. My registry threw a glitch which ended up in me receiving a frying pan and huge voucher. Imagine the shock at the package received after even arranging to have family over for the opening of the gifts.

After a lot of effort - from our side, we eventually managed to gather most of the gifts between the Johannesburg based stores and the remainder online. I received a huge apology from Vincent van Tonder, which in the end was only an empty one which the guys are taught to try with customers to make them feel 'better'. My airfryer by the time this was all sorted was not available and I was advised that it would be available mid November - I can't quite remember but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I waited (my wedding was on the 24th of September) and waited, calling on the 19th of November thinking I had given enough time. I was then advised they would be getting stock yesterday (24 November 2021) I am still waiting as it is their busy period and any apologies were empty because bar reading out a standard answer of the status of my order there was nothing else and clearly REAL customer service is not at the top of their list.

I was also advised that Vincent van Tonder would add me to get a notification when it arrives, I was however added to a mailing list being spammed with email upon email of things I did not want to see as my money will never be spent anywhere near Yuppiechef ever ever again. I will also advise those around me to avoid like the plague (which I have already done)

Waiting to speak to an Ursula, hopefully not another so called customer service employee of them.
