Do not trust Yuppiechef’s post sale “promises”

I was a happy and long-standing Yuppiechef customer, having bought dozens and dozens of items from them over the many years. However, most recently I bought a cordless Bosch vacuum cleaner from them with a claimed runtime of 40 minutes per the Yuppiechef website. After opening the box I fully charged the vacuum cleaner, but it only ran for 10 minutes. I tested it again, and it again ran only 10 minutes on a full charge.

I then immediately returned the product to Yuppiechef. After a delay of a couple of weeks they who told me the supplier tested it and it is working perfectly. They now are refusing to repair, replace or refund the item, effectively calling me a **** and not complying with the CPA or their own returns policies.

Cameron Jeftha is the agent I have been dealing with. Over the years the in-store Yuppiechef staff has always been helpful, but Cameron is unhelpful, unreasonable and dismissive.

So in short, rather buy from places like Tafelberg Furniture where they actually honour their post sale commitments to customers!

Reviewer Update
It is mid-July now, so two months later, and Yuppiechef still has not fixed, replaced or refunded the defective vacuum cleaner. It’s also been 3 weeks since I have received any kind of update from them. As this issue has dragged on for months, I’ve had to buy another vacuum cleaner to clean my apartment.

I used to love Yuppiechef, but they’ve really stopped caring about after-sales customer service after they sold out. Rather buy from another retailer who actually cares about their customers and will help you if there is an issue.
