YDE and The Mystery of their Consumer policies
So I go and buy a dress for my mother in law. Know that ill only see her in a bit so I ask the person at the store is the return period 14 or 30 days - as website and slip say something different. I am told i can return on 30 days.
Get to the store Waterfront last night and am firstly also not impressed by the "we are closing in two hours so not really in the mood for you attitude". Anyway, i politely ask for assistance and ask to return or exchange - neither of which I am allowed to do because "slip says 14 days"
So I leave and google YDE online. The website confirms 30 day return. I check with a lawyer friend and she confirms 30 days and because slip says "generally 14 days" this return policy is open to interpretation. I phone the customer care line to ask for clarity and am told the INFORMATION ON THE YDE WEBSITE ONLY RELATES TO TRUWORTHS ITEMS so sorry. There is a recording if you would like to hear me try to understand THIS logic because I HAVE PHONED THE YDE CUSTOMER LINE and their policy you are disputing is on the YDE website .
So basically - I just want my money back for a poorly cut dress that doesnt fit. I would also just like a company who is honest and doesnt have different policies that seem to be meant to confuse the consumer and manipulate the system.
If this isnt sorted I will be appointing a lawyer to raise this ito the consumer protection act. It is no longer just me who is frustrated with the way that customers are treated in your stores and by your company. We have tried to support local and get punished for it.
Please send me a reply in writing before COB on friday -no calls because then I have no proof and its my word against yours AGAIN.
Thanks.
We will investigate your concerns raised and will provide you with feedback soon.
Kind regards,
