TCF - TREATING CUSTOMERS UNFAIRLY FOR EXCHANGE OF DESIGNER WEAR

My son is getting married in September and my husband bought me a beautiful mer**** Wine red long dress with a black jacket at YDE in May 2018 , this item was never worn , still has original tags on and i cannot get the slip , all i wanted to do is exchange the style as it is to tight fitting for a Muslim Wedding ,I bought it at Canal walk surely the tag bar code will identify i bought it and its brand new, this is a special occasion and I trusted YDE to at least just allow me to take a different dress, I understand that their is an exchange policy but are your designers so desperate that they force not to have choice , 14 day return policy is not on the tag , it says I can exchange it now its a HUGE problem, I am not asking for a refund , to take my cash which i bought it with not on credit either, surely you can make exceptions . The teller and Branch manager agreed that they can see it is brand new and has the tags on but its pass 14 days which is crazy for such alot of money.

Thank you for your post and for informing us of your concerns.

At YDE, we allow ordinary returns or exchanges within 14 days of purchase provided that the original invoice or gift receipt is presented as proof of purchase and all the other requirements of this policy is met.

As you wanted to exchange the garment after the allocated 14 day returns period, it did not fully comply with our returns policy and you were correctly advised that the exchange could unfortunately not be authorized. The returns policy is visible on the cash desk and also on the reverse of the sales invoice.

Whilst we acknowledge your frustration regarding this matter, we cannot compromise on this policy.

In addition, we sincerely hope that you will understand our stance in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

YDE Online Team

Guess many people will not support you , your designers must perhaps re look at the policy return to say if the garment is not worn and tags are in place the allow the purchaser to change it for a item within that designers range , it is unfair but hey I guess you have your money that is all THAT MATTERS. I will spend my money at a place who can honour their products
