Return policy mess

I bought a bracelet 12/01/2019 and when I got home it didnt fit as my wrists are small , today 13/01/2019 i went back to the canal walk branch and I was told I couldnt return it. Last time I returned a watch why cant i return a bracelet? Your slip states pierce jewellery cant be returned. The consultant wasnt friendly at all. You dont explain to me why I cant return it and I was about to purchase an item which cost much more
