Not impressed -return

I bought a dress at YDE for the 1st time last month.A week later I decided that it does not fit very well and then proceeded to phone YDE customer service after many attempts to get through to the Canal Walk,Tygervalley AND Waterfront store.

I spoke to a certain Anele at YDE customer service and asked if I can return the dress as it still had the tag on it but just wanted to make sure before I drive to return it that I could indeed do so as I noticed on the back of the slip it said no return on end of season sale items. The other reason for me asking is that I wasnt sure if my item was indeed an "end of season" sale item being a first time YDE shopper, just a normal sale item.

Anele assured me that I could return it as the tag was still on it and I have 30 days to return it.I then asked him but the slip says 14 days and he says no it is 30 days.I wasn't too worried about the 14 days as I only had the dress for 7 days.

I then drove all the way to the Waterfront store where I was told by the manager,Robin, that I could not return the item as it was end of season and that the sale ended 2 days prior.I explained to her what happened and she was extremely helpful and said she will contact her regional manager.

My query was then transferred to another person at Customer service by the name of Uzair.

Uzair then told me that they listened to the conversatiion between myself and Anele and Anele did indeed give me the incorrect info but the only action they can take is a disciplanary enquiry.I then asked how does that help me and the fact the I went all the way to Waterfront and wanted to return the dress based on the information that I was given by Anele which was an inconvenience to ME!

I was then made aware about the "end of season" policy and that YDE will absolutely not take the dress back as the item is no longer on the system??

Surely all your old stock is not sold so where does it go to?

I told Uzair this is an exception as I was given the wrong info by one of YDE's staff and therefore they should be held accountable as well as my return be processed? I even said I was willing to exchange for something else .

The conversation went back and forth between myself and Uzair and evenutually we got cut off without a resolution being made.

Nearly 2 weeks later I have not had a call back from Uzair with a resolution and neither a follow up as to what happened with Anele.I am totally not impressed and will definitely not be buying from YDE again.
