NO IDEA WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS

I opened my account end of 2014 and in Jan 2015 I went overseas for a family wedding. The last thing on my mind was to pay my YDE account after having to cancel my credit card on the morning of my flight due to ***** (25th Jan). As this was a new account, it didn't even cross my mind.<br> <br> When I returned, I was harassed by the call centre to make payment, and said I would go to a store to pay, but didn't have the time as I was catching up 3 weeks of missed work. So I called to get account details... This is how they answer the phone! Not YDE call centre, just: \call centre good day"and then they get a ****ing attitude when you ask: \""which call centre is this?\""<br> <br> When I asked for the banking details"

Hello Baby_K,

We certainly understand your frustration at being contacted with regards the arrears status of your YDE account.

When customers do not meet their payment commitments, additional charges are incurred, and they will receive communication regarding the condition of the account. This is automatically generated as a reminder of the importance of bringing your account up to date and that your credit worthiness is an asset. We are also concerned that your profile held with us and at the credit bureaus would be negatively affected.

We regret that these forms of communication were not received in the manner in which it is intended; and offer our apologies for the manner in which you felt your query was attended to. It was certainly not our intention to cause you any unnecessary irritation.

We trust that we were able to acceptably address your concerns, and if you require any further assistance, please feel free to contact us on 021- *** or email *** and we will gladly assist.

Best regards,
Charmaine
