Unfortunate first experience with wootware
Ordered a screencard from wootware just about a month ago. (15th March) due to positive references from colleagues that game.
I got a notification that the card had arrived and will be dispatched via courier. I checked multiple times and I clearly noted delivery adress for Worcester western cape. Checked the tracking yesterday, it was sent to Durban for some reason.
Tried getting hold of the courier to tell them to hold up, as I'll drive through to where they are and get it myself. No answers on any numbers or mails. Tried contacting wootware. No answers on any mails. No contact number. Screencard ended up in durban somewhere. Checked the tracking. Out for delivery...in durban. Only one worcester in south africa I'm afraid. Don't know where they're taking it.
Problem is you know how couriers treat delicate items. Also sent wootware a mail and said keep that one ill send my own courier to pick up another one, no response.
Hoping I'll get one here.

08 Apr 2024, 11:33Gareth from Wootware contacted me and informed me that the mistake was on the courier companies's side, and not their own. They opted to send me another card. In which case I stand corrected. All facts considered, wootwares' service is great, and were let down by the courier company they use.

We would like to offer our most sincere apologies for the courier's error with your delivery. Upon contacting the courier, it was confirmed that your parcel was misrouted to their Durban branch. Our logistics team has discussed this matter with the courier and measures are being taken to rectify this issue and to prevent any recurrence in the future.
We received your email on Sunday morning (7 April), and responded on Monday morning (8 April). The delay in response was just due to the fact that we are closed over the weekend, so all queries sent over the weekend are responded to when we reopen on Monday morning.
While we completely understand your concern about damage occurring during transport, we would like to assure you that all of our deliveries are fully insured. This means that in the unlikely event that your order is damaged, or something occurs in transit, we would be able to fully cover you to ensure that you receive your order in perfect condition.
We believe that a suitable resolution has been reached, and we have processed a new order for a replacement GPU so that we can ensure that you receive your order without further delay. We understand that you've arranged for your preferred courier to collect the order from our offices. The delivery fee for your order has also been credited to your Wootware account.
Once again, we sincerely apologise for the error with the courier and any inconvenience that this may have caused. We appreciate your understanding. If there's anything further we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
