The stress test was successful and Wootware passed with distinction
A month ago I purchased a Dell Vostro 14" laptop and the unit arrived via courier undamaged. However, after installing Windows 11, I realized that I could never make peace with the low quality keyboard of the unit and so I initiated a return. (I knew that I would have to forfiet some percentage of the purchase cost and the returns policy stated as much.) I was still in the market for a laptop. However an upgraded Dell 14" model, that I was interested in, was in short supply and that item could not be secured. I finally setteled on a 14" Lenovo. Throughout this drawn out process, numerous e-mails were exchanged between myself and Wootware. I was always kept up to date and informed about, not only my potential new purchase, but also about the item that I had returned. Since the Lenovo was also in short supply, and I did not want to loose the allocation, I purchased this laptop while the other was in transit back to Wootware. So here's the risk: Will the credit for the Dell Vostro, minus the 10% restocking fee that I eventually paid, be refunded back into my account timeously? Without any quibble the money was deposited back into my account. So well done Wootware! A sale is easy when the customer is happy with the product and the experience. It's when the sale is messy, that the internal workings of a company is tested and you passed with flying colours. Highly recommended!
