Woodford Car Hire not recommended

I booked and paid for a Vito in advance for collection at Cape Town International Airport. I received a confirmation and on the day I received an sms saying my vehicle was ready. We were in a hurry to get to an event and was pleased to see this sms. However, on arrival, after taking out insurance, I was told the vehicle is not ready. The staff were talking among themselves, trying to make arrangements. I overheard some say that the vehicle had a "blowout". They tried offering me a Toyota Fortuner which would not suit my requirements. Eventually they said they will lend me another vehicle to get us to our event but will deliver the Vito later. We went to the other vehicle, packed it and was ready to leave when some tried to offer us a double cab Toyota. I refused and said we had to leave. He then said, he can arrange a Vito in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later the Vito arrives. I took pictures of the vehicle before I left. I'm glad I did, as when I looked at the vehicle later, I saw that the left rear tyre tread was worn due to low tyre pressure. I stopped at a garage and the tyre pressure was 1.5 bar when it should have been 3.4 bar. The garage attendant saw that a puncture had been repaired but clearly not done well. They supp**** a vehicle that they knew had a leaking tyre. Clearly, they gave me the vehicle that had a "blowout". I tried calling Ismail but my call was not answered. This is my first experience with Woodford Car rental and whether I, or you reading this review, should give them another chance or not, will depend on their response to this review. For over 30 years, I used mainly Avis and did not experience this kind of service. It was not always perfect but never this bad. I will give credit to the person receiving the vehicle on return for being polite and helpful. As we had lot of luggage, he offered to drive us to the drop off area, but we declined.
