Woodford Car Hire Deposit ****

I hired a car from this company on a month to month basis for a couple of months. When I asked for a quote for the last two weeks they gave me a quote and took the money off my credit card as arranged. When I took the car back on the 28th of July another R471 odd rand were taken off my credit card. When I queried this, some lame excuse followed, something about airport taxes that was not included in the original quote. During all this time the company had a hold of R4000 deposit on my credit card. Sometime during this, they capitalized my holding deposit, which means I had to pay credit card interest rates on this. When I returned the car I was promised that my deposit would be paid back within 5 working days. Three weeks and numerous phone calls later as well as a visit to the airport , I have not received my deposit back. The latest person I talked to is called Samantha , she even wrote me an e-mail to apologize. Do NOT use this company to rent a car. They are close to bankruptcy and you will NOT get your deposit back. The public should be warned against them.
