Will never use them again

I'll certainly never use them again. They took money off my credit card three times without informing me. They charged me for a windscreen replacement (R6000) for a 2mm chip that could be legally repaired for R300. And worst of all, they disabled the hire car by remote control at a remote Lesotho border crossing without having succeeded in making contact with me beforehand. They made phone calls, but the phone was in the car and I was in a burger bar when they phoned. They did not use voice mail, SMS, email or Whatsapp. Meaning -- they didn't really try, and were perfectly happy to strand a 76 yr old couple in 35C heat at a remote place with little to no phone signal. We push started the car ourselves (in that heat) to try to get it to a mechanic. When we finally got a phone signal and contacted them, they didn't tell us they had disabled us. they only told us how much more insurance money we had to pay. It took half an hour and many interrupted phone calls (bad signal, as I said) before they got around to mentioning "Oh by the way you're not broken down, we disabled you ourselves" !!! I think their treatment of us was ******** and I'm contacting a lawyer. Also they don't tell customers anything about their remote tracking system. Is it secure? Do they have ground rules about its use? Could any bright hacker break into it and disable your hire car? They should inform their customers about all this, and provide proof that the system is secure and that it won't be abused (as it was with us).
