Renters Beware!!

I rented a C class Mercedes Benz from Woodford, despite a email that came through urging me to do an online check in process, on arrival the process of renting the vehicle after credit checks etc apparently because it was a luxury vehicle was akin to purchasing a vehicle. The vehicle was driven and parked outside the Woodford branch and was dirty but i didn't bother to argue because it was raining lightly. No inspection process was conducted by the representative at that point, and we climbed in and set off. On return a couple of days later, the person doing the inspection straight away walked up and proceeded to show me a scratch on the rim. Long story short but I had a zero excess option on this rental and I would be petrified to rent a car from Woodford under any other condition. I in fact will never use them again after this experience, as the replies from customer service are as generic as a chat bot. So it was an admin fee of R500 odd that the experience cost me but renters please be aware and make sure you do a through inspection and take pictures before driving off because i would not trust their process at all
