**** AND CHEATED BY WOODFORD!

We booked a Hyundai H1 on the 16th of September 2018 for 21-25 September 2018.Upon our booking we were advised by Colin (the said sales person) that the booking would be under "unlimited mileage" as we had informed him that we would be travelling to PE. He printed out our booking specifications (which clearly indicated that we were on unlimited mileage) after having paid R15000 to secure our booking. The initial car hire fee was R7 454 but upon collection of the car we paid R5400 at which point we queried this with him and he stated that car hire prices flutuate from day to day. Upon collection of the said vehicle (on the 21st of September) we waited for an 1hour 45min to receive the car (while Colin paced up and down, talking on his phone and taking smoke breaks) which was poorly cleaned/washed (interior & exterior) with water streaks all around the windows but didn't make a fuss of it. We returned the car on the 25th September at 14:00 to a staff member named Charles. I then verified with Charles that the car was in good condition( no chips,scratches or dent other than those we initially found), petrol filled up and car washed spotlessly - at which point he agreed and i then said "that means we are getting our deposit back as is" and he rep**** by saying we should please go to the office and verify. We got to the office and were assisted by a great gentleman by the name of Lance, who then told us that we are liable to pay R9770(total with added tax R12584) that would be deducted from our R15000 deposit for the extra mileage we used as the contract on the computer states that we get 200kms free a day which would be 800kms free for the 4 days and we had gone over by 1200kms. As imaginable...we were beyond shocked! Obviously we feel ******* and misled by Colin, the salesperson we booked with, as we are a family of 5 adults and 2 kids and so we chose to hire a vehicle based on the pricing given to us...otherwise we would've chosen to fly. In closing,needless to say that we are EXTREMELY dissatisfied particularly because this is our first experience with Woodford. We decided to make use of your services based on recommendations from previous clients of yours.
