Damage Claim Experience

Recently rented a car from Woodford Cape Town Airport. Upon returning the car the person from Woodford seemed to have been aware of a very small windscreen chip located right at the bottom of the windscreen where the wiper is located. I may have missed this during the inspection as it was so small and due to its location. However he knew exactly where it was as the inspection process commenced at this point and the frustrating thing is he used the car key and sc****d into the chip. Only to have now billed me almost R5k even after filling in a report advising I was not aware of this etc. Just creating awareness around this as recently come across other clients who complained online of a similar windscreen **** experience. Suggest you check every inch of the car during the rental process.
