Charges for damages

Rented a car, returned it and then a whole month later I'm billed for damages. No damage report, no paper trail, no telephone call, nothing!! Because they have your credit card details they are able to charge your account without your knowledge, or consent, they don't even need your card because you already gave them the details with the initial rental. Be very wary.
