Car rental blues

On a recent CT trip we were a) welcomed as first time Woodford car rental users (which we are not, we have rented from Woodford before); and b) provided with a different vehicle than booked, which was really annoying as the alternative in my opinion wasn't as well specced overall/as good a package as the original - but the price charged remained exactly the same. We all know the fine print re "similar" vehicles but can't help feeling disappointed - other agencies we have dealt with if the chosen vehicles are not available typically offered an upgrade at the same (or still good) price but that doesn't seem to be Woodford policy - we were offered no upgrade alternatives but faced a "take it or leave it" attitude for a from an indifferent desk agent. The reason we came back to Woodford actually was the good experience we had before, but now I am not so sure, we will reconsider our options going forward.
