CAR HIR MISREPRESENTATION AND FAILURE TO HONOUR AGREEMENT

I would like to caution you about the ****ndous and pathetic service i received from WOODFORD CAR HIRE. They are ******, dishonestly, not transparent, misleading etc.

I bookked a V Class on the 24 May 2023 for the 24 to 27 June 2023 paid the full amount for the car even before collection. I received confirmation that everything are in order and even called the reservation centre who confirmed that all are in order.

This evening of the 23rd June 2023 just a night before the 24th of June 2023 when i m supposed to collect the car i am told the V Class is not available and they can give me fortuner as an alternative.

Do they know how much it takes and cost to prepare for the vacation and all the logistics that goes along with it? It is a common cause that I planned this trip way in advance taking into consideration the convenience, the capacity, the purpose i booked that specific car.

When they called me it appeared that they seem to use this modus operandi to embezzle peoples money and forced you take whichever car is available. I paid R10 000.00 already just to secure it but they did not care about my request.

My vacation now which I already spent money for its goodbye.

I am contemplating on what to do legally against this as this is a serious misrepresentation of their product which they seem not to have.
