Bad service experienced

Good day Sir/Madam

I am writing this mail because of the bad service experienced at the OR Tambo branch on the 23/05/2018.

On the 22nd I made a reservation for a car online From the 25/05/2018 and the return date was 31/05/2018.

I decided to take the car on the 23rd, when I got to the office the gentleman who was assisting me by the name of Riaz Ortia then told me that I can't use my cheque card to hire the car as it is problematic in terms of freezing the money from my account but he would help me.

So I told him that Avis and dollar thrifty always give me their cars using the cheque card so it is best I go to them but he insisted that he will help, we continued with the contract.

I paid R4000 deposit and R739 for a 3 day rental, and was supposed to extend the rental on the 26th, after the keys were handed over in the office, at the parking bay Riaz Ortia was waiting for me there.

He wanted me to pay him R500 for bribe, and his reason was that I have used a cheque card and that if anything happens to the car I won't be liable for the R10 000 liability excess.

I was not happy at all because I never wanted any shady or ******* activities so I decided to cancell the contract and be reimbursed my money.

Only the deposit of R4000 was paid as I was inside the branch and I was informed the R739 will be paid within 24 hours, on Saturday I called to follow up and Riaz Ortia told me to follow up with my bank.

Bank told me no refund was made except the deposit and on Monday I went to the office and Riaz was not there a gentleman by the name of chensley said I must call the head office.

This morning I spoke to Jay and she said I must send an e-mail because the refund was scheduled for today, how ever I have been charged rental for 1 day, which Riaz Ortia never told me about it when I cancelled.

Had I known about it I wouldn't have cancelled but the reason for cancellation was not because the car was small it was because of the bribe I had to pay after all the money I have paid and had paper trail.

I want to know if will I ever find the money I. Paid to woodford?

NB: I have a witness all this happened in front of my wife.
