Bad service

On the 9th April 2024 I have collected my rental vehicle from King Shaka Airport. I returned the vehicle on the 14th of April 2024 at 11H48 am to the airport where the vehicle was delivered in good order and the gentlemen who took the vehicle confirmed and I signed on his phone acknowledging no new damages. The next morning I git an email stating there was damages to the vehicle, which was a stone chip. That was not there on delivery. Same time I rep**** email was sent the 15th 16th and 18th April 2024 even sent messages to the whatsapp line only then did I receive an reply which said I must sent an email to ***. On Saturday the 20th April 2024 I phone the customer care line and all I got was they are investigating the situation. I asked the lady on the other side how can she say they are busy investigating as she did not know who she was speaking to what my Name was. Then she took took the reservation number and let me hold for ever before returning and said I need to pay R5577.00 for a chip on the windscreen. On monday Kayla Marriot emailed me and said they will investigate but there was no luck they just want to keep me liable for the damages. I told her that when the vehicle was signed off there was no damages and that can be proven when the vehicle was signed of and I have a signed copy of that. Now they tell me I should have done a proper inspection, which was done then this could have been avoided and that they cant help me further. Bit as a sign of good faith they will offer me a 10% discount. Two weeks no and still I have not received my money back, clearly they are not intending to pay the refund. I said to her that I will not be held liable for damages that wasnt there when I gave the vehicle back. The last email I got from her again today was that she cannot help me any further. They want the business but they cant pay back your deposit and As I look at the reviews this looks like a commen thing.
