Salary Not Paid!

I formally resigned just over 3 weeks ago. Within the second week of working out my notice period. I contracted the Covid-19 virus where I provided all the necessary proof as requested by my manager. On top of that I made sure I inform them all the way of my recovery journey.

According to management, I was meant to receive final payment on the last day of the month, being 30/09/2020. Keeping in mind I'm still in isolation, but not isolating from my responsibilities which would be paying accounts, rent and loans. Guesss what? No payment. They(management) advised me, over the phone and via WhatsApp, wait till tomorrow you should receive payment tomorrow, as you're FNB. Capitec would get paid first and then all the other banks. Come then, still no payment. So then I start sending messages asking what's happening, my phone calls are ignored, messages not read. Then I get told on the day, we're going to follow up with HR. Should that not have taken place with immediate notice given the situation is not normal. Management then drops an email from HR on the 3 day of me having to get paid and HR tells me you have to return a PC and we'll pay you. Fortunately, I was cleared to be able to come out of isolation and drop the PC at the office and I get told by HR. Your funds will be released and should reflect next week and Saturday after the payment already being late by more than 7 days
