Car needed 20K of repairs just months after purchase

I bought a second hand Toyota Avanza in March. I took it in for a service this month, and have had to fork out 20K to fix the brakes and gearbox. Surely William Simpson should have fixed this and adjusted the price accordingly? I feel completely **** to and duped. Do they not know what is going on with their cars or do they just not care?
