I have a 14 month old car - it’s still under warranty. It’s been with them for 6 weeks. It took 2 weeks for a diagnosis, another 4 weeks to get a part. No clear feedback. Only feedback when I nag. 10 days to get a rental vehicle from them. Shocking service and poor to no feedback from the service advisor

Disgusting is an understatement of the service I received from what I assumed is a reputable dealership. A Cash deal that has left nothing but a bad taste from Day 1 .It has taken me a very long time to post this review An Audi 2L TDI delivered to me a few days after it came back " from a Service as I was told Audi Somerset west with the brakes disks metal on metal and a severe shudder. There were some cosmetic issues that were meant to be seen too as well as as pointed out by the salesman at the time of viewing and proceeding to complete a Cash deal in good faith. To my horror the service I received was despicable. I returned the vehicle to William Simpson to have these issues sorted. I then got the vehicle back with the dealership claiming that they have attended to the brakes in their workshop and replaced the disks too and that the buffing of the lights must still be done after it was sent to a spray painter who kept the car for around 5 days but did not complete the work. The Shudder and screeching however was still prevalent and passengers would also bring it to my attention and my wife subsequently refused to drive the vehicle. I repeatedly called the salesman to report this and all I got was " I will discuss it with my manager and revert" and so it carried on for a couple of months .I took the vehicle to Audi Century City for a premature service and diagnosis about 5000km later which I paid for.Their response was " How can WS hand over a car to you in this condition. We suggest you return it to them". They pointed out so many issues with photographs which I sent on to the salesman who again said he will ask his manager to contact me as he had just joined the company. This salesman apparently left the company which did not entirely surprise me. WS was just not taking responsibility. A short while later I took the vehicle for further diagnosis related to the brakes and shuddering and rattling to Best Drive Maitland who reported that even the Shock Absorbers were non existent. They hoisted the car in my presence and pointed out the "serious cracks in the arms" I realized now that this is life threatening in all respects and asked them to fix whatever needed to be done. Another approx R11 000 later over and above the premature Audi service. These invoices were sent to WS and they refused to cover the costs or contribute towards it.Again the Tyre and brake specialist company Best Drive said WS should cover this cost.By now I was infuriated by WS shirking this responsibility. The nail in the coffin was when requested that the Dealer Principal finally called me and barely a minute into the conversation he stated that perhaps I should contact the Ombudsman which stunned me as its not what I was leaning towards. I can expand so much more on my HORRIBLE experience but will end off by saying that out of the approx 30 cars I have purchased throughout my life this was a SHOCKER...

A recent visit to the Fiat parts department at William Simpson Cars in Tokai proved pleasant. The store keeps a fabulous setup with many vehicles on display. Such an arrangement creates a vibrant and professional atmosphere. The salesperson proved attentive and assisted as soon as available. Knowledgeable and friendly, the team member ensured the exact parts needed were available. The shop makes a lovely outing when collecting genuine Fiat parts. Although not a driver, the experience was great. Great stock, great people, and a convenient location in Tokai.

William Simpson Tokai, After finalizing the deal and paying for the vehicle—which included a warranty clearly stated on both invoices provided—we were given several excuses instead of the dealer honouring the agreement. The inclusion of the warranty was confirmed in person and witnessed. My daughter specifically asked about the warranty, and the representative (believed to be Chantal) confirmed the purchase included a 2-year warranty. The first invoice included an almost R5,000 delivery charge, which I immediately queried and requested to be removed. We then received the updated invoice, and both invoices stated that the vehicle included a warranty until 2027. Only after questioning this again was a third invoice sent, suddenly stating that the warranty was not included. When both original invoices were sent back to Chantal and the salesperson, the response was that we were allegedly sent a separate invoice for the warranty—which we never received—and that the warranty was not part of the deal. This is completely unacceptable. You cannot issue two invoices confirming the warranty, confirm it verbally, then withdraw it afterwards and add it to the price. This is misleading and reflects poor business practice. The matter is currently pending a resolution. This serves as a warning to potential buyers to verify their invoices and warranty details carefully when dealing with this dealership.
