Willard gezina Hyundai kia

Good day i bought a battery less than a year ago from willard gezina. The battery is used in a kia k2700 which means the battery is located outside the bakkie. In february they tried to ***** the battery and one of the terminals was damaged but not that its broken in half it has some damage on the top of the terminal.the battery was still perfect till last week and the battery does not gain power at all took it back to willard store was handed a phone with the rep Neville just to be told sorry we wount replace the battery the damage on the terminal the damage did not effect the battery since february so please tell me if its a car that the battery is located under the hood all means the battery will remain perfect but how do i keep a battery ouside of a vehicle in perfect condition for 25months the battery has no damage to the outside whatsoever only 1 terminal is that really a reason to terminate my warranty it is poor service i hope KIA and HYUNDAI can in future relocate the battery because if the bakkie is using a WILLARD battery make sure to appoint a security gaurd to guard that battery for 25 months please and thanks u poor service and staff of willard gezina that is not customer service

Dear Raymond,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We're sorry for the frustration you've experienced with your Willard battery. We understand your concern, especially with a battery under a year old. While it remained functional for some time after the terminal was damaged, please note that our warranty does not cover physical damage.

We’ve also been made aware that our representative, Neville, has since reached out to you and that the matter has now been resolved.

We appreciate your feedback and will review the service at our Gezina branch to ensure we continue to improve.

Kind regards,
Willard team

As i am reading all the complaints about same situation looks like willard is hiding behind the terminals to void warrantys so lets say an AA comes to jump start my car and the jumper clamp slips and scratches the terminal the warranty is gone smart hey!!!!!

Dear Raymondt

Thank you for reaching out and for bringing your concerns to our attention. We’ve reviewed the matter thoroughly, and our findings are as follows:

According to the Willard Batteries warranty terms and conditions, the battery must not show any damage to the casing, cover, or terminal posts. Specifically, clause 10(h)2, which you can access here - http://bit.ly/3GVQDjl, states that any warranty claim becomes void if there is visible external damage—this includes damaged or melted terminal posts.

Based on the photo you provided, the terminal posts appear to be severely damaged and show signs of melting, which is indicative of external impact or abuse. We’ve attached a reference image for further clarity.
