Very POOR life span on Willard battery !!!

Willard is supposedly the best battery to use. I purchased a Willard battery in 2016 after my original one had come to its end of life. My vehicle is a 2007 model, used daily so therefore my original lasted me up to 9 years. The purchase was done from Atlas batteries in Durban CBD, opting against their brand as I wanted a battery with some assurance and comparison to my original in terms of the longer life span I went with Willard which I also presumed were the best. . I returned to Atlas battery centre today to test why my vehicle had a staggering & eventually refusing to start, only to be told that my battery is dead/end of life but since my invoice shows that I am a month over the guarantee they refuse to do anything apart from replace it at my OWN cost. Really now ??? I paid R700 in 2016 for a product I expected to have a last longer than your other brands & now I am expected to R830 for the same product which I cannot depend on. Why should us as consumers be ********** in a sense that we fork out a larger sum in exchange for quality but receive inferior products. An average life expectancy for a battery should be between 4-6 years but here I have received 2,5 years. Is that considered acceptable in your practice ? I wish you guys consider this as a negative towards your business and going forward consider a remedy to this.
