Short lifespan, no support

I must admit that I have had extremely poor experiences with Willard Batteries, compared to other auto battery brands.

Many years ago a Willard battery exploded in my engine. I phoned their call centre, who took my details, never to hear anything back, but I was just so grateful that it did not cause any damage to my vehicle that I let the matter be.

However, recently a battery fitted in August 2015 failed - within the 2 year warranty period. The battery was fitted by the vehicle dealership under a maintenance plan, so no battery dealership would assist me.

A took the vehicle to the Willard dealership in Blairgowrie Randburg, also to be told, take it back where it was fitted.

Tragic that a South African brand insists on manufacturing an inferior product and exhibit shocking service to boot!

Insist on something imported!

Good day

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. we proud ourselves in manufacturing a quality product for the automotive industry. We will gladly honour the warranty provided that it is still under the warranty and has not been subjected to abuse. we cannot comment on the lack of service provided by the service provider. That is something that has to be managed at the vehicle dealership. We can however intervene and speak to the Willard agent in Blairgowrie Ranburg. We have a mobile fittment operator that can assist. You can contact 080 12 00 12 and ask for Michael's contact details.

Regards

The Willard Team
