Shocking - failed to standby their warranty

I wrote to "queries@auto-x" on 19 May, with no acknowledgement to date. On 1 May 2026 my Willard battery, 16 months old failed at george airport when I was collecting people from New Zealand. The battery gave no warning of failure or low charge prior to this day. Luckily a man was able to jump start my battery. The full story is in my unanswereed email to Auto-x. The short story is that the battery measures 10v not 12v, meaning to me that a cell has failed. I returned it to the retailer . The retailer confirmed after attempting to recharge that according to the tester it needed repalcement. With no physical inspection be the Willard rep, going on a photo, surmised that 1) my battery had been abused, 2) that it was the wrong battery for my Toyota Prado, and 3) that it had been used for the wrong purpose. It was some years ago when the willard rep did not stand a by a warranty on a Leisure Battery that failed withing momnths citing that I had used it for the wrong purpose, (in that instance I used it for what it says.) Even though he was in the vicinty of the retailer some days later there was no physically inspection of my battery according to the retailer. It was installed in my Prado on the day of purchase, removed only now to install a new battery, and never abused. It is according to Willard and the retailers in town the correct battery, a 639c. It has never been used for any other purpose than in my car. I am shocked at the "grasping at straws" in order to deny the claim. I do not need the money but it is on the principle that Willard Auto-X must stand by their warranty. The reputation of Willard amonst retailers in town is shocking and consistent across those surveyed. They do not wish to sell Willard because "of all their nonsense". What is sad that I always used to use Willard in all my vehicles because of reliability and long life. I have a 619 on my outboard that is 15 years old and still going. Sadly I have lost trust in Willard as a brand and Willard / Auto-x as a reputable company who do not stand by their own product.
