Cheated by Willard Bayteries

I bought a car at an aiction and it had a Willard battery with a valid warranty. The purchase date and receipt number are inscribed on the battery. The battery no longer works and the warranty is still valid. When I called the Willard call Centre I was told that I MUST bring the receipt. I managed to get hold of the Precous owner and understandably he says the receipt faded.

Willard batteries is hiding behind the receipt requirement to avoid replacing their malfunctioning batteries. What’s the purpose of writing the purchase date and receipt number on the battery? Surely in this computer age Willard Batteries can do better than expect clients to keep receipts for 25 months. Most of these receipts fade anyway.

You can get a replacement for a Raylite battery without a receipt. I feel cheated.
