Wiki deal - La Muse - Bad Service, Bad Attitude, Very small Menu and Bad Experience all round

I bought a deal on Wiki deal to go eat at La Muse in the Circa Hotel on 12 Jetty Street. I took my wife as it was her birthday and wanted to give her nice meal. I must say that I paid so much for this deal and the service was worse than any restaurant I have experienced before. For a restaurant claiming to be a Gourmet place, they should be ashamed of themselves.

Waitress - The waitress did not know her menu at all (which only had about 4 starters, 5 main courses and 3 desserts) so when I kept on asking about something she would make up a story.

She told us from the get go that we couldn't choose 2 of the starters, 2 of the main courses and 1 of the desserts which was the only dessert that seemed worthwhile taking as there was no stock.

Every time we asked a question, based on what she says then she changes the story the whole time, telling us something different which after awhile became rather irritating.

Chef - He kept on giving us rather rude stares throughout our experience there. A couple (white male and colored lady) came after us to sit down as we were the only 2 couples in the restaurant (us and them), the chef personally came and brought their food out while totally ignoring us, to give us a good experience.

Food - The starter was good, the main course was off putting as my wife's main course said there would be potato wedges and when she asked the waitress when our food was brought the waitress said, "the Wedges are only served on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and since we were there on the Thursday it wasn't applicable (although no where in the restaurant it stated that or even on the menu). I told them I want an extra side plate of wedges but am allergic to strong food and the wedges were a salty and strong mess of food.

The dessert was not homemade expected by a chef but a rock hard malva pudding that tasted like it has been frozen for months with cheap icy ice-cream. I would be better off buying something even at Pick n pay or Checkers.

La Muse totally ruined the experience of paying so much but I could have done better at a fast food place. with more than half the price cheaper. I am disgusted and would not recommend that place at all.
